Was haben Handy-Schalen, Halbleiter-Chips, Ölreservoirs, Autos und vieles mehr gemeinsam? Tief im Innern von Software-Paketen zur Simulation ihrer Herstellung, Funktionsweise, Ausbeutung, Umströmung etc. arbeiten lineare Gleichungslöser - meist unbemerkt von der Außenwelt, aber von entscheidendem Einfluss auf den Erfolg der Simulationen.
