Announcement

The 4th Birlinghoven Symposium on Text Mining in Life Sciences will take place at Schloss Birlinghoven from the 9th to the 10th October. As in the years before, the Birlinghoven Symposium is not organised as a public event, but rather a conference where selected professionals from industry and academic research meet and discuss advancements in information extraction and knowledge discovery. This year's symposium will focus on the translation of results from basic research into industrial application. A detailed program will be send to you together with the official invitation in August.

The Birlinghoven Symposium on Text Mining in Life Sciences is a discussion forum for professionals from the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry, for scientists from governmental institutions and academic research, for researchers and decision makers from publishers and other information providers, with a balanced mixture of academic talks and examples for the industrial application of text mining.

The organisers are looking forward to welcoming you at Schloss Birlinghoven from the 9th to the 10th of October 2006. Please mark your calendar for this event, which attracted more than 100 participants in 2005.
