The Open MpCCI Research Community

The intention of the Open MpCCI Research Community is to support and motivate the exchange of information, experience, results, and discussion on MpCCI-based simulation coupling. Research groups are invited to join this Community by providing a webpage (see template page) of their ongoing work - thus giving other interested parties the shortest way to a growing variety of concepts, solutions and results. There is a fastly growing list of research topics - some of them are listed below:

Methods and Algorithms:

- Coupling algorithms for stable and convergent solutions

- Accurate and conservative mapping of quantities

- Coupling of incompatible model geometries

- Fluid-structure interaction and incompressible media

Software Issues:

- Open access to code’s interfaces (APIs) and file formats

- Extending an integrated solution by own in-house codes

- Integration of software from different vendors into end-user’s environment

Validation Cases:

- Reference cases for testing and QA

- Templates for multidisciplinary modelling classes

Challenging Application Areas:

- this will be a fully open list of topics .....
