FEMZIP-N: Compression for Nastran NVH simulation results
FEMZIP-N is a specialized tool for the compression for Nastran NVH OP2 results. It will be available in late 2008.
-
Advantages:
- Smaller archives
- Faster data transfer
- Less data loading times into post processors
Compression factor:
The compression of a set of AUDI’s Nastran NVH result files using FEMZIP-N shows an average compression factor of 10. This factor depends of the required precision of the simulation results and is in most cases even better than the respective reduction of crash simulation results using FEMZIP-L.
Decompression with multicore:
By supporting multicore technologies, the time for decompression is further reduced. This will result in less time needed to read the results into those postprocessing tools, which support the publically available FEMUNZIP-N API.
